Service Description: L'indice normalisé précipitations moins évapotranspiration (INPE) tient compte à la fois des précipitations et de l'évapotranspiration potentielle. L'indice qui en résulte est principalement utilisé pour mettre en évidence les déficits hydriques et les sécheresses, mais peut également montrer les excès. Ainsi, contrairement à l'INP, l'INPE saisit l'impact principal de l'augmentation des températures sur la demande en eau. À l'instar de l'INP, l'INPE peut être calculé sur une gamme de périodes allant de 1 à 60 mois.
