  • processing & functional characterization of carbohydrates (starch, gum, fiber, etc.) and proteins from renewable agricultural material
  • Bioprocessing of plant based carbohydrates for value-added opportunities in food, bio-health products, and industrial uses
  • starch & polysaccharides
  • Integrated value-added processing  and utilization of bioresources
  • Processing & characterization of biomaterials (biocomposite, thermoplastic, nanocomposites, and biopolymer)
  • Biofuel and biomass conversion

Current Projects:

  • Creation of new opportunities for non-traditional markets through innovative fractionation and total utilization of biomass from carbohydrates-rich crops
  • Extraction, separation and purification processes for value added products
