Current Projects:
- Analysis of deoxynivalenol (DON) by ELISA to support AAFC cereal breeders and pathologists for development of FHB resistant cultivars.
- Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Mass Spectrometry analysis in support of AAFC funded projects.
- Structure determination, biosynthesis and distribution of toxic secondary metabolites from Fusarium graminearum and other Fusarium species.
- Isolation and purification for toxicity testing of novel secondary metabolites and identification of intermediates associated with targeted fungal gene clusters.
