During this period, flavoured alcoholic beverages were the leading sub-category, followed by beer and vodka. Besides the low-calorie claims, the products launched were deemed ethical, both in terms of environmentally friendly package and recycling. Low-calorie alcoholic beverages launched in Canada during this period were contained in either cans or bottles and these products were either new variety/range extension, new products or products with new packaging.
