Spain is the ninth largest importer of agri-food and seafood products in the world. Spain recorded imports of Can$55.8 billion in 2019, and Canada's share was 0.5% or Can$308.7 million.

Spain is a net exporter of agri-food and seafood products with trade surplus of Can$19.9 billion in 2019. Spain's agri-food and seafood imports increased at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.9% from 2015 to 2019.

Top supplying countries to Spain were predominantly European Union (EU) countries The largest supplying non-EU countries were the Brazil, United States (U.S.), Morocco, the United Kingdom (UK), and Ukraine. The top five imports to Spain from 2015 to 2019 were molluscs, corn, tobacco products, crustaceans, and fresh fish.

In 2019, Canada had an agri-food and seafood trade deficit of Can$261.3 million with Spain. Spain's agri-food and seafood imports from Canada have increased by a CAGR of 5.4% from 2015 to 2019. Top imports from Canada were corn, crustaceans, and soybeans.

Spain is a net exporter of agri-food and seafood products. In 2019, Spain's agri-food and seafood trade surplus was Can$19.9 billion with imports valued at Can$55.8 billion, and Can$75.7 billion in exports. Spain's agri-food and seafood imports increased at a CAGR of 4.9% from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, Canada had an agri-food and seafood trade deficit of Can$261.3 million with Spain.

Spain's top agri-food and seafood imports in 2019 were molluscs, corn, tobacco products, crustaceans, and fresh fish. Top supplying countries were predominantly EU countries, led by France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Portugal. The largest supplying non-EU countries were Brazil, U.S., Morocco, the UK, and Ukraine. Imports from Canada increased between 2015 and 2019 by a CAGR of 5.4% to rank 33rd overall and 21st out of non-EU suppliers in terms of market share.

In 2019, Canada ranked 5th for corn, 8th for crustaceans, and 3rd for soybean import supply into Spain among global trade partners, supplying Spain with Can$186.3 million worth of these three commodities. Corn, crustaceans, and molluscs were the fastest growing imports from Canada between 2015 and 2019. In 2019, Canada's import supply gap to Spain was Can$55.5 billion, which grew by a CAGR of 4.9% between 2015 and 2019.
