Government of Canada GCKey and Sign-In Partners
The federal government has mandated that all Government of Canada on-line services are to be delivered through the GCKey or Sign-In Partners, providing increased levels of privacy and security for users. My AAFC Account added this system to its on-line services. Sign-In Partners uses banking credentials from TD Bank Group, Scotia Bank, and BMO Financial Group.
A GCKey account or a Sign-In Partners login use unique electronic credentials (User ID/Password) that allows you to communicate securely with the Government of Canada.
In order to access My AAFC Account, every user must log in with a GCKey User ID/Password or Sign-In Partners login. For our existing clients, there are now two authentication options. Feel free to continue using your GCKey account. If you would like to switch and start using your bank account credentials instead (Sign-In Partners), please contact your Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada My AAFC Account contact person. The GCKey registration process involves the mail-out of an activation code, which can take approximately 10 days to receive.
