Update on the Agri-marketing Program

The Agri-marketing Program is supporting industry as market development activities adjust to the pressures of the global COVID-19 outbreak. While generally focusing on international activities, the program will consider requests to redirect funding to support:

The second intake for Agri-marketing Program applications for fiscal years 2021-2022 (year 4) and 2022-2023 (year 5) is anticipated to launch in the late fall of 2020. Due to the uncertain planning environment resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak, further details related to the application process and a specific date for application submission, will be forthcoming.

Agri-marketing Program: National Industry Association (NIA) Component aims to increase and diversify exports to international markets and seize domestic market opportunities.

It will accomplish these goals by supporting industry-led promotional activities that highlight Canadian products and producers and boost Canada's reputation for high quality and safe food.

If approved, support is available in the form of non-repayable contributions support from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.
