  • Genebank management with emphasis on characterization, evaluation, maintenance, distribution and acquisition of plant germplasm of crop species and their wild relatives.

Current Projects:

  • Acquire, maintain and distribute genetic resources of relevance to Canadian and international agriculture, consistent with Canada's commitments to implementing the Plant Genetic Resource Treaty
  • Develop new information through evaluation, characterization and analysis of genetic resource attributes
  • Regenerate accessions in genetic resource collections meeting international standards
