Current Projects:

  • EmTOX: Research network on emerging mycotoxins in Canadian crops – GF2. Modern analytical methodologies for the quantification of traditional and emerging mycotoxins are being developed and standardized across AAFC research centres.
  • Fungal Culture Collection mining by LC-MS. A-Base: Building a digital chemical archive of the natural products produced in the Canadian culture collection in Ottawa. This could lead to discovery of novel bio products and fast searching of species of origin when new toxins of concern are detected on Canadian crops.
