Select the units used for measurement - metres (m) or feet (ft.).

Each row lists a Tree or Shrub Species. In each row, enter the Total Row Length value, in the unit of measurement already selected (metres or feet).

Calculate the number of Trees Required in each row by dividing the Total Row Length by the Recommended Spacing, using the selected Measurement Units (meters or feet).

Trees Required = Total Row Length (m or ft.) / Recommended Spacing (m or ft.)

In the final row, to calculate the Total of each column (Total Row Length and Trees Required), add together all the values in that column.
