June 17, 2013
This year marks the 59th edition of the Specialty Food Association's Summer Fancy Food Show (SFFS), taking place from June 30 to July 2, in New York City. Known as the largest specialty food and beverage event in North America, the SFFS presents a fantastic opportunity for Canadian companies to showcase their interesting and innovative products and learn from industry experts, while networking with colleagues from around the world and experiencing first-hand the leading trends in the American market. This year's show boasts a roster of 2,400 exhibitors with 180,000 diverse products, from more than 80 countries and international regions!
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) joins 21 registered Canadian exhibitors in the Canada Pavilion, located in the International Hall of the Jacob K Javits Convention Center. This year's pavilion features a variety of Canadian products from the provinces of Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. These include herbs and spices, maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, chocolate, desserts and spreads, water, fair trade coffee, cookies, barbecue rubs, crackers, appetizers, sauces and dips, frozen teapops, prepared vegetables and fruits, and organic cereals.
The pavilion offers Canadian industry the opportunity to highlight quality food and beverage products on an international stage. Companies participating in the pavilion benefit from market knowledge and guidance offered by AAFC staff as well as local trade commissioners. Custom Canada-branded booths and promotional materials and images displayed in the pavilion differentiate exhibitors as distinctly Canadian.
