AgriRisk Initiatives: Administrative Capacity Building Stream: Step 1. What this program offers
Step 1. What this program offers
The AgriRisk Initiatives (ARI) program supports the development of new risk management tools for use in the agriculture sector. ARI is a Canadian Agricultural Partnership Business Risk Management initiative. It includes two funding streams: ARI Research and Development (R&D), and ARI Administration Capacity Building (ACB). Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is currently accepting applications for ARI ACB project contribution funding.
The objectives of ARI ACB funding are to:
- Support the start-up pilot administrations in order to test the viability of new agricultural risk management tools; and
- Increase the participation of the private sector financial services industry in addressing producers' risk management needs, based on the demonstrated viability of the tool
In order to fulfill these objectives, ARI ACB will provide:
- Time-limited financial assistance for building the administrative capacity for the delivery of new risk management tools.
