Minister Ritz to Make Announcement for Assistance for Livestock Producers Affected by Flooding

Ottawa, Ontario, March 4, 2009 - Federal Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz, and Member of Parliament for Selkirk-Interlake James Bezan, will be in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Thursday, March 5, to announce federal assistance for livestock producers affected by flooding.

Manitoba Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives, Rosann Wowchuk, will also be participating.

Following the announcement, Minister Ritz and Minister Wowchuck will be available to speak to media.
